privacy policy

klarhed ("we", "us") builds the context layer for engineering. this policy explains what personal data we collect on klarhed.app, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). we are the data controller for this site.

data we collect

  • Analytics. if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks, and basic device and browser information. your approximate location may be derived from your IP address at the time of the request; we do not store your IP address. analytics run only after you consent, and we do not build a profile of you unless you identify yourself (see below).
  • Early-access requests. if you submit your email address to request early access, we store that address so we can contact you about the product. this is the only personal data you actively give us.

legal basis

we process analytics data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. we process your early-access email on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to your request.

cookies

we set cookies only if you accept analytics. if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site stores nothing on your device beyond your consent choice. submitting the early-access form does not require accepting analytics cookies.

processors and where data is stored

  • PostHog (analytics), hosted in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com).
  • Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery for this static site).

we do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it beyond the processors needed to run this site.

retention

analytics data is retained per our PostHog configuration and deleted when it is no longer needed. we keep early-access emails until you ask us to remove you or until the early-access program ends.

your rights

under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. to exercise any of these, or to be removed from the early-access list, email [email protected]. you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

changes

we may update this policy as the product evolves. material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
